Ajmer State was a short-lived state in India . The state was an enclave in Rajasthan . The capital was the city of Ajmer .
history
In 1818 Ajmer was one of the few places in Rajputana to come under direct British control. In 1950, Ajmer State was formed from the Ajmer-Merwara Province , which was established on August 15, 1947. With the States Reorganization Act 1956, Ajmer was united with Rajasthan.
