Albert Ewing Hill (born October 14, 1870 in Tennessee , †  January 23, 1933 in Nashville , Tennessee) was an American politician . Between 1915 and 1917, he was the de facto lieutenant governor of the state of Tennessee as President of the State Senate , even though this office was not formally introduced until 1951.

Albert Hill lived in Tennessee and was a member of the Democratic Party . He sat for three consecutive terms in the Tennessee Senate. After Hugh C. Anderson's death on March 1, 1915, he succeeded him in the office of Senate President. By January 1917 he had ended the term of office of his predecessor. In that capacity, he was Deputy Governor Tom C. Rye . He thus actually held the office of lieutenant governor. This post was or is constitutionally anchored in most other states; in Tennessee this has only been the case since 1951. After his time in the State Senate, his track is lost again. It is only mentioned that he died on January 23, 1933 in Nashville.
