The All Saints Church is a Roman Catholic church in the 14th  Grazer district Eggenberg .

history

The church building is in an elevated position at the foot of the Grazer Gaisberg on Allerheiligenweg. The late Gothic building dates from the 15th century and was expanded in the 16th century in the Baroque style . A previous church had stood here since the 8th century. The All Saints Church was founded in 1423 by Peter von Graden as Capell zu Payrdorf . In 1535 it was expanded by Ursula von Graden. In 1690 the side chapels were added. The former baroque tower was above the choir. The last expansion of the church took place in 1930 when the formerly open west porch was enlarged.

Architecture and design

The All Saints Church is a medium-sized building with baroque side chapels. A confessional chamber is attached to the south side. The gable tab dates from the 19th century and the arched stone portal was created in the fourth quarter of the 17th century. The date " 1535 " was added much later.

The single nave nave has a barrel vault with unfinished stucco decoration from 1690, which is attributed to Antonio Serenio. There is a cross vault above the organ gallery and the choir and the Graden family coat of arms is attached to the parapet. The paintings and figures date from the 17th to 19th centuries.
