Template: Infobox community association in Germany / maintenance / coat of arms

In the Stargarder Land office , six municipalities are united around the town of Burg Stargard to handle their administrative business. The office is located in the east of the Mecklenburg Lake District in the south of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It borders the district town of Neubrandenburg and the Tollensesee . The official seat is in Stargard Castle.

The office emerged from the former Burg Stargard-Land office with seven member communities. On July 1, 2002, the formerly free city of Burg Stargard was incorporated into the office; the official name was changed to Amt Stargarder Land . With the incorporation of Teschendorf to Burg Stargard on September 27, 2009, the number of municipalities belonging to the office decreased again to seven. On May 25, 2014, Cammin was incorporated into Stargard Castle, so that the office only comprises six municipalities.

As the immediate catchment area of Neubrandenburg, the Stargarder Land area is often used as a place to live in the countryside. The communities are predominantly agricultural, tourism plays a role especially on Lake Tollensesee. The federal highway 96 runs through the official area .
