The Röbel-Müritz office extends in the southwest of the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). With 570 km² the office is the largest in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It borders on the Ludwigslust-Parchim district to the west and the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district in Brandenburg to the south .
In the Röbel-Müritz office, 18 communities and the city of Röbel / Müritz (official seat) are united to handle their administrative business. The office was formed on January 1, 2005 from the former offices of Rechlin and Röbel-Land . On 7 June 2009, Kambs to Bollewick incorporated, on 1 January 2010 Jaebetz to Fincken . The office does not have an officially approved national emblem, neither a coat of arms nor a flag. The official seal is the small state seal with the coat of arms of the state of Mecklenburg. It shows a looking bull's head with torn off neck fur and crown and the inscription "AMT RÖBEL-MÜRITZ".
