Andrija Živković ( Serbian - Cyrillic Андрија Живковић ; born July 11, 1996 in Niš , Federal Republic of Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian football player . The right winger is under contract with Benfica Lisbon and is a senior international .

Career

Živković moved in 2009 from FK Nacional Niš to the youth of FK Partizan Belgrade . Although he was still eligible to play for the A-Jugend at the time, he made his debut in the SuperLiga on April 28, 2013 in a 0-0 draw against FK Novi Pazar at the age of 16 . For the 2013/14 season he moved up to the squad of the first team. After he met Kragujevac in his first season appearance on August 25, 2013, a 5-1 win against FK Radnički 1923 Kragujevac , shortly after his substitution, he was henceforth a regular player and also scored a goal on the following three match days. Živković finished the season with the team in second place and played with her in the 2014/15 season in the Europa League , in which she, however, already failed in the group stage . In the league, he won the championship with the club at the end of the season and, after missing the Champions League qualification, played with him again in the Europa League in the 2015/16 season . Due to contractual disputes between Živković and Partizan, he was suspended from his club in February 2016. After his contract expired on June 30, 2016, he joined the Portuguese record champions Benfica Lisbon for the 2016/17 season and signed a five-year contract there.

National team

Živković played for the Serbian U16 and U17 selection and scored 13 goals in 13 missions for these teams. On October 11, 2013, he played for the first time in the senior national team in a 2-0 win in the friendly against Japan . A month later, he played a second game against Russia (1-1). After that, he was not nominated for over a year. For the U21 national team Živković made his debut on November 19, 2013 in a 1-0 victory in the European Championship qualification against Italy . In July 2014 , Živković took part with the U19 national team at the U19 European Championship in Hungary , where the team failed in the semi-finals on penalties to Portugal . With the U20 selection Živković played in 2015 at the U20 World Cup in New Zealand and won on 20 June 2015 in accordance with the 2: 1 final victory after extra time against Brazil the title.

In June 2018, Živković was appointed to the Serbian squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia by national coach Mladen Krstajić . In the tournament, Živković came in the third group game, the 0-2 defeat against Brazil , to a short stint and retired with his team as third in the table after the group stage .
