Florentino Ibrain Morris Luís (born August 19, 1999 in Lisbon ), also known simply as Florentino , is a Portuguese soccer player of Angolan descent who plays as a defensive midfielder for Benfica Lisbon .
Career
society
Born in Lisbon, Florentino was first a futsal player and joined the youth team of the professional football club SC Real in 2009 . A year later he moved to the Benfica Youth Academy in Lisbon . On September 11, 2016, he made his debut for the reserve team in a 2-1 home win against Académico de Viseu in LigaPro.
On February 1, 2019, he was promoted to Benfica's first team along with three other Benfica B players. He made his debut in the Primeira Liga in a 10-0 win against CD Nacional Funchal on February 10, when he came on in the 62nd minute. Four days later, he made his European Cup premiere, as Benfica in the first leg of the Round of 32 of the UEFA Europa League with Galatasaray Istanbul 2: won first
Florentino scored his first goal in the Primeira Liga on March 17, 2019 in a 4-0 away win against Moreirense FC .
National team
He won the U17 European Championship in 2016 and the U19 European Championship in 2018 with the national team of Portugal . In both competitions he was voted into the best team of the tournament.
