Antoinette Nana Djimou Ida (born August 2, 1985 in Douala ) is a French heptathlete of Cameroon origin. She was European Champion in 2012 and 2014 and European Indoor Champion in 2013.

Athletic career

At the 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg she came in 21st place. The following year she was in the pentathlon of the European Indoor Championships in Birmingham eleventh and gave up at the World Championships in Osaka after the first day of competition. In 2008 she finished 18th at the Olympic Games in Beijing .

A bronze medal in the pentathlon at the 2009 European Indoor Championships in Turin was followed by seventh place with 6323 points at the World Championships in Berlin in the summer . In 2010 she was fifth in the pentathlon at the World Indoor Championships in Doha . At the European Championships in Barcelona , she broke off the competition after the fifth discipline. At the European Indoor Championships 2011 in Paris-Bercy, she won the title with a French national record. With fourteen points less than in Berlin, she again finished seventh at the 2011 World Championships .

At the European Championships in Helsinki in 2012, she increased her best performance to 6544 points and won the title ahead of the Ukrainian Ljudmyla Jossypenko . In London she improved again at the Olympic Games to 6576 points and came in sixth place. In March 2013 she won the gold medal in the pentathlon at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg with 4666 points. At the European Championships in Zurich in 2014 , she defended her title with 6551 points. In 2016 she came second behind the Dutch Anouk Vetter at the European Championships in Amsterdam .

At national level, she was heptathlon champion in 2006 and 2007, pentathlon indoor champion in 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2010 and long jump champion in 2008 .

Antoinette Nana Djimou Ida is 1.74 m tall and weighs 69 kg. She has been with CA Montreuil since the beginning of her sporting career and is coached by Sébastien Levicq . In 2004 she became a French citizen.
