Waters

The Beeckfließ (GEWKZ 28286) runs through Apweiler . If required, it absorbs rainwater and drains it away. The Beeckfließ was originally an open pit and service water canal from the former Carl Alexander mine in Baesweiler . It flows through the villages of Floverich , Apweiler, Beeck , Leiffarth and Honsdorf and flows into the Wurm after 13.3 km below Honsdorf . Before Beeck, the Beeckfließ picks up the water from the Gereonsweiler Fließ . Behind Beeck, the water of the Immendorfer Fließ flows in.

Church history

Apweiler forms the parish Immendorf with Immendorf and Waurichen . The majority of the population consists of Catholics .
