Arnfried Heyne
Arnfrid Heinrich Fritz Heyne , also Arnfried Heine , Arnd Heyne (born December 29, 1905 in Dresden , † January 12, 1978 in Vienna ) was a German film editor .
Life
After an apprenticeship in his parents' company, he came into contact with film while doing an internship at Universum Film (UFA) in Berlin . He worked in a copy factory and as a camera assistant . Then he went to the USA and ran a photo shop in New York . He then lived for some time in India and held the post of minister for cinematography in a princely state there .
Back in Germany in 1930 he started sound editing and switched to image editing in 1933. From 1939 he was employed by Wien-Film and participated in various Viennese films . After the end of the war he stayed in Vienna and, as an editor, played a major role in the extensive Austrian film production of the 1950s and 1960s, not least because of his frequent collaboration with director Franz Antel . He also acted as assistant director for several films .
