The Büglmühle is a part of the municipality of Deining in the Neumarkt district in Upper Palatinate in Bavaria .

location

The wasteland lies in the Upper Palatinate Jura east of the municipality on the northern slope of the Deininger mountain towards the Zellerbach .

history

The mill of the 15th century was a Zugehörung to Deininger Castle and shelter until the end of the Old Kingdom high court the electoral office of mayor Neumarkt . It was operated by a mill stream, which had its sources above the mill and flowed into the Zellerbach. The overshot millwheel was six meters in diameter.

In the new Kingdom of Bavaria (1806) a tax district Deining was formed in the district court of Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate , to which the Büglmühle was also assigned. With the municipality edict of 1818, the (smaller) Municipality Deining was formed, of the parish of Deining itself and the three mills Büglmühle, Roßamühle and Strauss mill belonged.

A description of the rain district from 1830 lists the mill as "Büglmühle" under Deining. The repertory for the topographical atlas sheet Neumarkt reported in 1836: "Bühelmühle, also Bögelmühle, E [inöde] bey Deining, 1 H [aus], 1 Mühle, (1 grinding) on ​​the Zellerbache." In 1873 several were used during the construction of the Neumarkt-Regensburg railway line employed German workers convicted of breaching the peace ; In their crackdown on Italian railway construction workers, they broke in the door and window of the Büglmühle, injured the miller Xaver Kienlein and badly mistreated the four Italians who were there. As usual, the mill also had a farm; so in 1875 the Büglmühle kept three cattle in addition to a horse.

The grinding operation was given up in 1950 and then the mill property consisting of rubble stones was removed. Today there is a house there.
