The Hochheim (Main) train station is the train station of the southern Hessian city of Hochheim am Main . It is on the Taunus Railway from Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof to Wiesbaden Hauptbahnhof . Here keep on schedule only S-Bahn line S1 of the Rhine-Main S-Bahn and regional express trains RE4 and RE 14 ( Frankfurt - Mainz main station - Ludwigshafen ).
history
The station was opened on April 13, 1840.
Infrastructure
Reception building
The first station building from the time the line was put into operation came from the Mainz architect Ignaz Opfermann and has not been preserved. The current station building, which was built north of the railway line, dates from 1877 and was rebuilt in 1911. The two-and-a-half-story building with a wide floor frieze stands on the eaves to the tracks. A central projection protrudes towards the street side , which breaks through the eaves with its gable. The mezzanine under the slate roof is shingled , which protrudes flat and far over carved rafters and head struts . The building is a monument.
Track systems
The S1 line of the Rhein-Main S-Bahn stops at the three-track Hochheim (Main) station . The station has a house platform and an island platform . On track 1 the S-Bahn to Wiesbaden, on track 2 in the direction of Frankfurt. During rush hour , some trains to / from Frankfurt start and end on platform 3.
Before the reception building (street) there is a pedestrian tunnel , can be reached via the tracks. 2 and 3

P + R parking spaces and covered bicycle parking spaces are located adjacent to platform 1 .

Train
The S-Bahn runs every half hour on the Wiesbaden Hauptbahnhof - Rödermark-Ober-Roden route . During rush hour, this frequency is extended to a quarter of an hour, with every second train starting or ending in Hochheim. The regional train lines RE9 and RB10 run through the station without stopping.

Bus transport
Buses 46, 48 and 809 leave from the Hochheim Bahnhof bus stop. The bus routes connect the train station with downtown Hochheim, the Heinrich von Bretano School, the Hochheim indoor swimming pool and Hochheim's Massenheim district (line 46).
Special traffic
Every year at the beginning of November the Hochheimer Markt takes place in Hochheim . At this event, the regional train line RB10 (RheingauLinie) of the Vias , which otherwise passes through here, has an additional stop.
In addition, the operation of bus route 48, which otherwise runs every 30 to 60 minutes, will be increased and special buses to and from Rüsselsheim will be set up.
