Location of Baukloh in Lüdenscheid

Baukloh is the name of a district and belongs to the statistical district 02 ( Ramsberg / Hasley / Baukloh) of the district town of Lüdenscheid in the western Sauerland , North Rhine-Westphalia . The district and the statistical district are located south of downtown Lüdenscheid .

Educational institutions

At "Schäferland 1" there is the Free Christian Realschule Lüdenscheid and the Free Christian Secondary School Lüdenscheid. In the school year 2010/2011, the Free Christian Realschule on Schäferland started with 28 children each in two entrance classes after the summer holidays. The Free Christian Secondary School, which is also located at Baukloh, had a total of 25 pupils in the entrance class for the 2010/2011 school year. Thus, after the registration for the 2010/2011 school year, the secondary and secondary schools reported “full classes”.

In 2013 the Free Christian Realschule Lüdenscheid celebrated its 15th anniversary. It was officially founded at Baukloh back in 1998. Anyone who opts for a free Christian school career there pays, as a guideline, a tuition fee of 110 euros per month. According to the school, support with the school fees is possible.

Infrastructure

The structure of the district is mainly characterized by many detached single-family houses. In the course of the rest of the district, numerous multi-family houses were built in the last two decades.

When the city of Lüdenscheid wanted to designate new living space within the framework of the land use plan (FNP) on Neuenhofer Straße, residents raised massive concerns about the project. According to the residents, the nearby nature reserve could be massively endangered by the new residential buildings. A planning office also suggested filling vacant lots and vacancies in the city or not yet complete building areas before sealing new areas on the outskirts of the city. At the same time, there were critics from other parts of the city who said that new building areas were absolutely necessary for the further development of the city of Lüdenscheid and would also attract new families or could convince the existing population to stay in the city of Lüdenscheid. Since the end of December 2010, the new building project has been quiet.

In addition, numerous businesses have settled in the street “Baukloh” over the past two decades. Previously, this area had been largely the area of a former barracks. Most of the old barracks buildings were demolished in the 1990s.

The Berglandklinik Lüdenscheid has been located in the street "Am Hundebrink 6" for several decades.
