Location of Stüttinghausen in Lüdenscheid

Stüttinghausen is the name of a district and belongs to the statistical district 12 ( Oeneking / Stüttinghausen) of the district town of Lüdenscheid in the western Sauerland , North Rhine-Westphalia . The district and the statistical district are located in the southwest of the contiguous urban area. Since 2010, the district is located south pawn home with the statistical district 12 (Oeneking / support alarm Ting Hausen) counted. To the north, east and south, the city district and district of Bruges join.

Infrastructure

General infrastructure

The structure of the district is mainly characterized by many detached single-family houses and terraced houses. In the course of the further part of the city some apartment buildings were built. Due to the quiet and central location of the district, many families with children settled in the district. Thanks to its exposed location, the district is now one of the most expensive residential areas in the city of Lüdenscheid.

The nearest retail stores are in Bruges , in Oeneking and on Heedfelder Strasse .

Daycare center Stüttinghausen

At Schönecker Str. 23 there is a day care center run by the German Red Cross (DRK) .

School center at Haus Schöneck

The buildings of the Stadtpark all-day secondary school and the former Schöneck primary school are located at Haus Schöneck. Next to the buildings are a sports hall of the Stadtpark secondary school and a gym of the former Schöneck primary school.

On February 22, 2013, a report appeared in the Westfälische Rundschau that the new technology wing in the Stadtpark all-day secondary school was now ready. The new technology wing consists of three rooms in which the technology profile class - plus business, nutrition and health - should prepare for their professional life in six hours a week. The project itself was started in early 2007 through a collegial conversation between the head of the Stadtpark all-day secondary school, Winfried Becker, and the physics teacher there, Harald Döpke. There were some business sponsors for the new project.

In addition, there was the Schöneck sports field on the adjacent site, where sporting events were regularly held. Since the site is currently no longer used, six single-family houses are to be built on the site. The investor acquired another site next door for a breakthrough to the street.

In 2013, the city administration of Lüdenscheid considered closing the primary school Schöneck completely from 2015 and moving all nine classes to the existing primary school in Bruges .

There was massive criticism of the plans from the parents of the primary school students in Schöneck. They feared that the children from the Oeneking and Stüttinghausen districts would have to travel disproportionately long to the new location in Bruges when the location was closed. In addition, some parents deliberately moved to the Oeneking district because the school infrastructure there would have been so good. In this context, the possible closure of the Schöneck primary school should be viewed as counterproductive.

According to a report from the Lüdenscheider Nachrichten on January 30, 2013, the Schöneck school location was about to end. This is the result of the parliamentary group meetings on January 28, 2013. In March 2013, the Lüdenscheid city council officially voted on the closure of the Schöneck school location. However, it was previously expected that a large majority of the Greens, the FDP and the SPD would vote for the retention of the Bruges location and at the same time for the closure of the Schöneck primary school. According to its own statement, the CDU wanted to continue to vote for the Schöneck school location in the council of the city of Lüdenscheid.

On Monday, March 4, 2013, the majority of the SPD, FDP and the Greens decided to phase out the Schöneck School. In the vote, there were 15 dissenting votes from the CDU. The Schöneck school was therefore given up on July 31, 2015. In 2013, the next first graders were no longer enrolled in the Schöneck primary school, but in the Bruges primary school. After the registration process for the 2014/15 school year, the administration informed the school politicians about the city-wide state of affairs. Then it should be found out whether another school location should be given up. The parents' initiative “We are Schöneck” had recently tried in vain in a letter to all council politicians to overturn the preliminary decision from the school committee against the Schöneck elementary school.

There are some newly designed playgrounds for children in the district.
