Bee Ridge is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sarasota County in the US state of Florida with 9598 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Bee Ridge is located about 5 km southeast of Sarasota and about 90 km south of Tampa . The CDP is affected by Florida State Road 72 .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 9598 inhabitants were distributed among 5043 households. The population density was 950.3 inh / km². 95.4% of the population identified themselves as white, 1.3% as African-American , 0.3% as Native American and 1.8% as Asian Americans . 1.0% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 1.1% to several ethnic groups. 5.4% of the population was Hispanic or Latino .
In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 48.7% of all households lived in 19.9% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 58.9% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.10 people and the average family size was 2.69 people.
