The Benz 35/40 PS was a further development of the Benz Parsifal 35 PS.

The car was equipped with a four-cylinder in-line engine with 5880 cm³ displacement, which developed 35–40 hp (26–29 kW) at 1350 rpm. The engine power was passed on to a four-speed transmission via a leather cone clutch and from there to the rear wheels via chains or a cardan shaft, depending on the customer's request. The top speed was 90 km / h.

The leaf-sprung vehicle was equipped with wooden spoke wheels and pneumatic tires and was available as a double phaeton for 23,000.00, as a limousine for ℳ 25,000.00 or as a landaulet for the same price. The chain drive cost 1000, - extra.
