Best Of is a compilation album by the Swiss hard rock band Krokus .
background
Best Of is a compilation by Krokus that was released through the SPV record company . The band never had this label under regular contract. The compilation, which is not listed in the discography of the official website, only contains songs from the years 1990 to 1995, i.e. from the albums Stampede and To Rock or Not to Be as well as from the EP You Ain't Seen Nothin 'Yet . Best Of therefore consists of tracks with both Peter Tanner and Marc Storace on the microphone. Basically, this compilation is to be rated negatively, because the designation Best Of does not seem appropriate when considering two studio albums and one EP. The title seems even more unsuitable because the publications taken into account come from a time when Krokus had lost their international reputation due to numerous serious line-up restructurings and, moreover, the entire music genre Hard Rock had to go through a deep crisis at the time. Just two years after the compilation Best Of , which is adorned by exactly the same front cover as the North American version of To Rock or Not to Be , another compilation should appear in Great Britain with The Collection , which also only includes the publications from 1990-1995 in their Song selection considered, but has more songs and a different track list.
