Headhunter is the seventh studio album by the Swiss hard rock band Krokus . It contains the singles "Screaming in the Night", "Stayed Awake All Night" and "Eat the Rich".

With the studio album Headhunter , produced by Tom Allom at the Bee Jay Studio in Orlando , Krokus had almost reached rock mountaineering. After the predecessor, One Vice at a Time, there was another line-up change - Steve Pace replaced the long-time drummer Freddy Steady - but the band did not let that throw off the track. Headhunter was supposed to top all of the band's previously released, already successful albums: The album stormed the charts in many countries: No. 74 in Great Britain, No. 35 in New Zealand, No. 25 in the American Billboard charts and No. 22 in Sweden. In addition, one could look forward to a platinum award in the USA and gold status in Canada and Switzerland. With “Screaming in the Night”, for which a video was also shot, Headhunter contains the band's biggest hit to date. In addition, there are other band classics such as the Bachman Turner overdrive cover “Stayed Awake All Night”, “Eat The Rich”, also promoted by a video, and the title song “Headhunter”, all of which are still an integral part of live shows today are. However, anyone who believed that Krokus could no longer be stopped was soon, albeit creeping, learned wrong, because again there were numerous line-up changes: First of all, rhythm guitarist Mark Kohler was replaced by the Swiss Patrick Mason, who is considered to be the better background singer before Chris von Rohr , the last founding member of Krokus, was dismissed shortly afterwards because he had clearly exceeded his competencies compared to the other band members and openly gave the Swiss tabloid Blick information about rock star life. But that also meant losing the most important songwriter alongside Fernando von Arb, which should definitely be felt on the following two albums, The Blitz and Change of Address . Ironically, because of Chris von Rohr's dismissal, the recently dismissed Mark Kohler came back to the band during the tour and took over the gap on bass. Patrick Mason stayed on the rhythm guitar. But that's not all: After Krokus had finished the tour, both the drummer Steve Pace, who joined the band just a year ago, and the rhythm guitarist Patrick Mason, who had recently joined the band, left the band after a short guest appearance. Pace was eventually replaced by the American drummer Jeff Klaven, the rhythm guitar remained temporarily unoccupied.
