Alive and Screamin ' is the first live album by the Swiss hard rock band Krokus . It contains the single "Screaming in the Night (Live)".

background

Alive and Screamin 'came out at a time when Krokus were at their lowest point musically. Change of Address could certainly celebrate successes in the wake of earlier successes and the glam metal wave, but little was left of the tight, tough guys of the past few days. Because of this and also because of the constant line-up changes, the band lost its credibility, especially with the older fans. So the album produced by Tony Platt, which was recorded with the same line-up as the studio predecessor, was the right answer and also a little compensation. On the one hand, because the old hits were presented the way the fans wanted them to be and on the other hand, because it was the first, long-awaited live album in the band's history. With the single "Screaming in the Night (Live)" behind them, Alive and Screamin 'made it to number 97 on the American Billboard charts. Recorded during the North American side trip of the Change of Address World Tour in Amarillo , Cincinnati , Baltimore and Poughkeepsie , USA, as well as Toronto , Canada, the album contains songs from all works of the Storace era up to 1986, apart from hardware , as well as with " Lay Me Down "a song never released on a studio album. After Alive and Screamin ' , however, there were again personnel restructuring: bassist and songwriter Chris von Rohr came back to replace Tommy Keizer, drummer Jeff Klaven was replaced by Dani Crivelli. But these measures should prove to be the introduction to the planned course correction. In addition, the necessary consequences were drawn from the experiences leading to the emergence of Change of Address , which, in addition to the personnel changes, were reflected in a change of record company. Alive and Screamin ' was re-released in 2000 by the Spitfire record company with slightly different cover artwork but the same track list.
