The Dirty Dozen: The Very Best of 1979–1983 is a best-of compilation by the Swiss hard rock band Krokus .
background
The Dirty Dozen: The Very Best of 1979-1983 is the second best-of compilation by Krokus , which was published after the separation from the record company Ariola on the same. This was possible because the label still owned the rights to the albums released between 1980 and 1986. In contrast to the first compilation Stayed Awake All Night: The Best Of , which was published on the American market, this compilation was intended for the European market. The Dirty Dozen: The Very Best of 1979-1983 is often seen as the best collection of crocus hits to date, as it only contains songs from the era of Metal Rendez-Vous to Headhunter and the more poppy works The Blitz and Change of Address were not taken into account. In addition, the playing time of a CD - in contrast to Stayed Awake All Night: The Best Of - was almost completely used up.
