District Court Thalgau

The judicial district Thalgau is a judicial district subordinate to the district court Thalgau in the federal state of Salzburg . It covers the south-eastern part of the Salzburg-Umgebung district .

history

The judicial district Thalgau was created together with 23 other judicial districts in Salzburg by a decree of the kk Oberlandesgericht Linz on July 4, 1850 and originally comprised the 16 tax communities Anger , Ebenau , Egg , Enzersberg , Faistenau , Fuschl , Gitzen , Hintersee , Hof , Lämmerbach , Lidaun , Thalgau , Thalgauberg , Tiefbrunau , Vodersee and Vorderschrofenau .

In the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868, the judicial district together with the judicial districts Abtenau , Golling , Hallein , Mattsee , Neumarkt , Oberndorf , Salzburg and Sankt Gilgen formed the district of Salzburg .

Through the amalgamation of municipalities, the number of municipalities was reduced to the four municipalities of Faistenau, Hintersee, Hof bei Salzburg and Thalgau by the second half of the 20th century.

As a result of the “District Court Ordinance Salzburg” passed in 2002, the Thalgau judicial district was expanded to include the three communities of Fuschl am See , Sankt Gilgen and Strobl of the disbanded judicial district of Sankt Gilgen and the four communities of Ebenau , Eugendorf , Koppl and Plainfeld on January 1st, 2003 , which fell to Thalgau from the newly organized judicial district of Salzburg .

On July 1, 2022, the previous district court districts of Neumarkt, Oberndorf and Thalgau will be dissolved and merged into a central district court at the new Seekirchen am Wallersee location .
