Biedaszki

Biedaszki (German Biedasken , later Groß Neuhof ) is a village in Poland in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in the rural municipality of Kętrzyn .

Geographical location

Biedaszki is located about two kilometers south of Kętrzyn on Voivodeship Road 594 .

history

On November 6th, 1458 Wernhard Siefferddorffer received 18 Hufen land from the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order Ludwig von Erlichshausen , which laid the foundation for today's Biedaszki. In 1929 the Lutheran seminary was relocated from Karolewo. The seminar was closed in 1940 and a radio station for Wolfsschanze was set up in the building . The station was deliberately set up away from Hitler's actual Führer headquarters so as not to reveal the situation through the antennas.

In July 1945, the place, now renamed Wielki Dwór , was the seat of a community with Witold Pakultinis as community leader. In December of the same year the parish seat went to Rastenburg (Kętrzyn) . As one of the first in the area around Rastenburg, a primary school was opened in the village in 1945, in which 38 pupils were taught in the first school year. In July 1946, however, Rastenburg returned the parish seat to Wielki Dwór . The National Council of the Municipality (Gminna Rada Narodowa) was formed here in September of that year and was responsible for 40 localities and 9,511.52 hectares . In 1950 the community library was opened. After an administrative reform, the village was the seat of a Gromada from 1954 . On September 28, 1960 the seat of the council was moved to Kętrzyn. 1973 Biedaszki became part of the Kętrzyn municipality.

Population development

In 1785 there were 17 houses in Biedaszki and an associated Vorwerk with two buildings. In 1817 the number of houses had increased to 20.

In addition to Biedaszki himself, the Schulzenamt includes the villages of Biedaszki Małe, Nowy Młyn , Smokowo and Trzy Lipy .
