The Roman Catholic Diocese of Wollongong ( Latin Dioecesis Vollongongensis , English Diocese of Wollongong ) is in Australia located diocese of the Roman Catholic Church , based in Wollongong , New South Wales . It was formed on November 15, 1951 from areas of the Archdiocese of Sydney , to which it is still subject as a suffragan .
