Geographical location

The village is located in West Pomerania on Voivodeship Road 102 between Trzebiatów ( Treptow an der Rega ) in the west and Kołobrzeg ( Kolberg ) in the east, about 100 kilometers northeast of Szczecin .

Immediately to the west of the village is the Sobiemierz ( Sophienhof ) residential area, and the Budzimskie ( Baselerskaten ) residential area immediately to the east of the village . The village Drzonowo ( Drenow ) is located about three kilometers to the northwest .

history

From 1772 various improvements were carried out in the area of the Drenow estate , for which King Friedrich II granted financial support. This included the construction of a new settlement in the eastern area of the Drenow district.

This settlement was named Charlottenhof after a daughter of the then landowner. First it consisted of a Vorwerk of goods Drenow and three peasant holdings and several Büdnerstellen in the form of a line settlement .

In the middle of the 19th century, the road from Kolberg to Treptow on the Rega was laid out and passed through Charlottenhof; this street later became part of Reichsstrasse 161 . As a result of the road construction, Charlottenhof was the first place in the area to have a post and telegraph station. This was later (after 1884) moved to Zarben ; Until 1945 there was a post office in Charlottenhof.

After the formation of manor districts in the 19th century, Charlottenhof belonged partly to the Drenow manor district and partly to the Drenow rural community . With the division of the Drenow estate in 1910, the estate district was dissolved, so that Charlottenhof now fully belonged to the rural community. As part of the rural community of Drenow, Charlottenhof belonged to the Kolberg-Körlin district of the Prussian province of Pomerania until 1945 .

After 1945 Charlottenhof, like all of Western Pomerania, came to Poland. It was given the Polish name Bogusławiec , the population was replaced by Poles.
