history

The relatively new village was only built in 1822 on Kolberg's own land and grew rapidly thereafter. In 1846 Gribow had 300 inhabitants in 50 houses and by 1864 there were already 512 people in 90 families and 65 houses.

Until 1945 Gribow formed a municipality in the Kolberg-Körlin district of the Prussian province of Pomerania . Towards the end of the Second World War , the region was occupied by the Red Army in the spring of 1945 and then placed under Polish administration together with all of Western Pomerania. The inhabitants were expelled , the houses and farms were expropriated and taken over by Poles.
