The Gmina Kołobrzeg is a rural community ( Polish gmina wiejska) in the powiat Kołobrzeski in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship .

It covers an area of ​​145 km² and has 10,968 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2019). The city ​​of Kołobrzeg ( German Kolberg) itself does not belong to the Gmina, but forms its own municipality.

The rural municipality is located southwest of the municipality of Kołobrzeg . South of the municipality is Siemyśl , southeast Gościno and east Dygowo and Ustronie Morskie .
