Bravo Screenfun was a German multi- platform game and entertainment magazine, published by the Bauer Media Group in Hamburg , which appeared from April 1997 to April 2009. Bravo Screenfun was published monthly, usually the Wednesday before the last but one of each month, and had about one hundred pages per issue.

Like the Bravo , Bravo Girl and Bravo Sport, the magazine was part of the Bravo family. As a result, the magazine aimed its offer at a young target group. This has been the consistent among other Duzen much of the readership.

history

Bravo Screenfun first appeared in a one-time special edition in May 1997. From October 1997 the magazine was available monthly.

After a slump in sales, the 05/2006 issue was relaunched . In addition to a “target-group-oriented and beginner-friendly look”, five categories replaced the previous structure with its subdivision into reports on hardware and software . In May 2007 the magazine was relocated from Munich ( Heinrich Bauer Smaragd KG ) to Hamburg ( Inter Games KG ); the Munich editorial team was dissolved under the founding editor-in-chief Anatol Locker . Since then, only games have been tested that have been approved by the USK under the age of 16 and the hardware section of the magazine has been deleted.

After one year of existence, Inter Games KG was dissolved by Heinrich Bauer Verlag in May 2008 and the Bravo Screenfun editorial team was relieved of its duties. An external editorial office then delivered the content.

From the 05/2008 edition, Bravo Screenfun also provided information on cinema, DVD and television news in addition to its previous focus on computer and console games. The editor-in-chief was Holger Reher, who had previously been editor-in-chief of "DVD-Magazin".

In April 2009 it was announced that Bravo Screenfun had to serve a decrease in sales of 60.9 percent compared to the same period last year. One month later the magazine, of which only around 10,000 units could be sold at last, was discontinued. The 06/2009 issue was the last issue of the magazine. The loss of the Bravo Screenfun was supposed to be caught online by a "gaming" section on www.bravo.de, and from 2010 a continuation of the Screenfun as a free Bravo supplement was planned.
