The Burgstall Burgberg is an abandoned Niederungsburg in the hamlet of the same name in Bürgberg in the municipality of Markdorf in Lake Constance ( Baden-Württemberg ). The easily recognizable Burgstall is built over with an agricultural property.

description

The Burgstall Burgberg can still be seen in the north, south and east. The ring moat that once ran around it is well preserved in the north and east. The southern and western sides were flattened when the property was expanded; in the western area no remains of the moat have been preserved. The building erected on the Burgstall does not have a basement, and there are no remains of the building.

history

There are no known finds or certain documented mentions. According to information from the Ittendorf village community center, it was a moth . It is possible that the Burgstall can be associated with the brothers Albert, Ulrich and Hans von Birchberg .
