The castle Löwental even Eichstegen called, is a Outbound castle in today's district Löwental the city of Friedrichshafen in Bodenseekreis in Baden-Wuerttemberg .
The castle was built by the Lords of Eichstegen, a Welf ministerial family , and mentioned in 1154. In 1250 Johann von Eichstegen handed over the castle and lands to the Dominicans of Constance , who converted the castle into the Löwental monastery .
Nothing has been preserved from the castle complex, which cannot be precisely located.
