The Postal Margarethenberg is an Outbound hilltop castle in Salem suburb Buggensegel . It is located in the Lake Constance district ( Baden-Württemberg ).

The still clearly recognizable Burgstall at 470 m above sea level. NN is on the Margarethenberg, immediately west of Buggensegel. Remnants of trenches and structures above ground are no longer visible. Castle researcher Michael Losse , however, quotes Eduard Schuster, who reported on remains of foundations found during excavations in 1908 . Today there is a water reservoir on the hill .
history
Secure mentions of the attachment are not known. Eduard Schuster assigns the castle stable to a Margaretha von Valchinstein, there is a Valchinsteinstrasse in the village. It is possible that a noble von Buggensegel family lived here, mentioned in 1094 and lastly in 1258 with a Hartmann von Buggensegel.
