The moated castle Bambergen is an abandoned moated castle presumably in place of the later school and town hall in Bambergen (corridor "Burggraben"), a today's district of Überlingen in the Lake Constance district in Baden-Württemberg .

The castle was first mentioned in 1348 and in 1353 as "behind the turn". The castle was the seat of the von Regentsweiler family who were patricians from Überlingen . The Regentsweiler family went to the Überlingen Hospital in 1352 with their sovereign rights. A sale by Walter von Regnotsweiler is mentioned in 1363.

In 1820 the remains of the walls of the former castle were removed and around 1840 the castle hill was probably leveled for the construction of the town hall. In 1911, the school was built on the site of the former economy wing on the east side of the town hall.

On the east and south edges of the castle area was the residential tower ( Weiherhaus ), bounded by a brook ditch .
