In 1448 the brothers Heinrich and Wilhelm von Arnsberg from Ital d. Ä. and Jos Humpis the castle. In the 16th century the castle was abandoned and fell into disrepair.
Nothing has survived from the former castle on an oval castle hill with a diameter of about 13 meters, which was once surrounded by a moat .
