The Communauté d'agglomération Chartres Métropole 's a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the department of Eure-et-Loir in the region Center-Val de Loire . The community association was founded on July 9, 2012 and consists of 66 communities. The administrative headquarters are in the city of Chartres .

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2018, the number of member communities increased from 46 to 66:

• 12 municipalities of the Communauté de communes des Portes Euréliennes d'Île-de-France ,
• 4 municipalities of the Communauté de communes Cœur de Beauce ,
• 2 municipalities of the Communauté de communes Entre Beauce et Perche and
• 2 municipalities of the Communauté de communes du Bonnevalais

switched to the local association.
