Saint-Georges-sur-Eure is about twelve kilometers west of Chartres on the Eure River . Saint-Georges-sur-Eure is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Cintray in the north, Amilly in the east and northeast, Fontenay-sur-Eure in the southeast, Nogent-sur-Eure and Chauffours in the south, Ollé in the southwest, Orrouer in the west and southwest as well Saint-Luperce in the north-west.

The municipality's train station in the small village of La Taye is on the Chartres – Bordeaux railway line .
