geography
Écrosnes is located 75 kilometers southwest of Paris and 25 kilometers northeast of Chartres near the border with the Yvelines department .
A stream flows through the village and flows into the Voise a few kilometers later at Gallardon .
The municipality includes the village of Écrosnes, the villages of Écrignolles, Giroudet and Jonvilliers. Neighboring municipalities are Bleury-Saint-Symphorien , Gallardon, Gas , Émancé and Orphin .
history
The find of prehistoric hatchets proves the early settlement of the area. Associated grindstones were reused in the wall of a house.

Attractions
The oldest parts of the nave of the parish church of Saint Martin were enlarged with two side chapels in the 16th century.
The restored 18th century Château de Jonvilliers in the municipality of Jonvilliers now serves as a guest house.
