Morainville is a French commune with a population of 22 (as at 1st January 2017) in the Eure-et-Loir in the region Center-Val de Loire (2015 Center). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Chartres and the Portes Euréliennes d'Île-de-France municipal association founded in 2017 .

Morainville is in the north of the Beauce landscape , 30 kilometers east-southeast of Chartres and about 70 kilometers southeast of Paris . Morainville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Denonville in the north and west, Maisons in the north and northeast, Léthuin in the east and southeast, Mondonville-Saint-Jean in the south and southwest and Ouarville in the west and southwest.
