Morancez is a French commune with 1,836 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Eure-et-Loir in the region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Chartres and the canton of Chartres-2 (until 2015: canton of Chartres-Sud-Ouest ). The inhabitants are called Morancéens .

geography

Morancez is about three kilometers south of Chartres on the Eure , which forms the western municipal boundary. Morancez is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Coudray in the north, Gellainville in the east and northeast, Berchères-les-Pierres in the southeast, Corancez in the south, Ver-lès-Chartres in the southwest and Barjouville in the west and northwest.

The A11 car route runs through the municipality .
