Soulaires is located about eleven kilometers northeast of Chartres and about 27 kilometers west-southwest of Rambouillet on the Eure , which borders the municipality in the northwest. Soulaires is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Piat in the north, Bailleau-Armenonville in the east and northeast, Coltainville in the south and east and Jouy in the west.
