Berchères-Saint-Germain is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Challet in the north and northwest, Tremblay-les-Villages in the north, Bouglainval in the east and northeast, Jouy and Saint-Perst in the southeast, Poisvilliers in the south, Fresnay-le-Gilmert in the southwest, Briconville to the west and southwest and Clévilliers to the northwest.

The national route 154 runs through the municipality .

In 1972 the municipalities of Berchères-la-Maingot and Saint-Germain-la-Gâtine were merged.
