Auneau-Bleury-Saint-Symphorien is a French commune with 5,916 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Eure-et-Loir in the region Center-Val de Loire . It is the main town (chief lieu) of the canton of Auneau in the Arrondissement of Chartres .
It was created with effect from January 1, 2016 as Commune nouvelle through the merger of the previous municipalities of Auneau and Bleury-Saint-Symphorien , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Auneau. Bleury-Saint-Symphorien itself had been a commune nouvelle since 2012 from the merger of the municipalities of Bleury and Saint-Symphorien-le-Château .
