The Communauté d'agglomération Pau Béarn Pyrenees is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It was founded on July 22, 2016 and comprises 31 parishes. The administrative headquarters are in the city of Pau .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

• Communauté d'agglomération Pau-Pyrénées ,
• Communauté de communes Gave et Coteaux and
• Communauté de communes du Miey de Bearn .

On this occasion four parishes switched to other associations.
