Aressy ( Occitan : Arèssi ) is a French municipality with 712 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Pau and the canton of Ouzom, Gave et Rives du Neez (until 2015: canton of Pau-Sud ). The inhabitants are called Arésyiens .

Aressy is located in the historic province of Béarn on the Gave de Pau River . Aressy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Idron in the north and northeast, Meillon in the south and east, Rontignon in the south, Uzos in the southeast, Mazères-Lezons in the west and Bizanos in the northwest.
