Sauvagnon is a French commune with 3,313 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . She is assigned to the canton of Terres des Luys et Coteaux du Vic-Bilh (until 2015: Lescar ) and the Arrondissement of Pau . The inhabitants are called Sauvagnonnais .
geography
Sauvagnon is about twelve kilometers north of Pau on the Luy de Béarn River . Sauvagnon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Doumy in the north, Navailles-Angos in the east and northeast, Serres-Castet in the east and southeast, Lescar in the south, Uzein in the west and Caubios-Loos in the northwest.
Part of the Pau airport is in the southwestern municipality. The former route nationale 134 (now the D834) runs through Sauvagnon .

The Sainte-Marie-Madeleine church was built in 1852.
