Bordes is a French commune with 2,884 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Pau and the canton of Vallées de l'Ousse et du Lagoin (until 2015: canton of Nay-Est ). The inhabitants are called Bordais .

geography

Bordes is bounded by the river Gave de Pau in the southwest and is about ten kilometers southeast of Pau . Bordes is surrounded by the neighboring communities Assat in the north and north-west, Ousse in the north, Artigueloutan in the north-east, Angaïs in the east, Boeil-Bezing in the south and south-east, Pardies-Piétat in the south and south-west and Baliros in the west and south-west.
