Parish church of Saint-Loup-de-Sens in Poursiugues

It is dedicated to Lupus von Sens . After the merger of the two parishes of Poursiugues and Boucoue, the parish decided to accept the parish church of Poursiugues as a parish church and to downgrade the former parish church of Boucoue to a chapel . Towards the end of the 19th century, however, the parish church was soon considered too outdated and it was replaced by a new building designed by the architect Séron from Saint-Sever. It was built on a piece of land donated by the Duparcq-Billère family. The parish contributed part of the financing, the remaining part of 4,500 francs was contributed by the French state. The previous church was finally demolished around 1900. Today's church has a nave with three naves , a bell tower above the entrance porch with a polygonal, slate- covered helmet and a double sacristy . Three glass windows are the work of the glass painter Louis Gesta.

The choir contains the main altar with its reredos . It is covered with a network of arcades made of cut wood. A garland with a cherub and bas-reliefs depicting a bust of Mary on the left and John the Baptist on the right serve as decorations. On the door of the tabernacle one is monstrance displayed, framed by two inwardly curved niches left with a bishop and right with the Apostle Peter occupied. On the sides there are more curved niches, each with a bishop. A cross on the tabernacle completes the work. The tabernacle dates from the second half of the 18th century and probably comes from the earlier parish church, the neo-Gothic altar was made between 1840 and 1850.

A small side altar of the church is dedicated to Mary. It consists of a reredos and a tabernacle in the middle. The altar is embellished with floral motifs and gilded representations and is surmounted by a Madonna with baby Jesus.

The church has two Stoup of white marble features, both of which are embedded in the wall. One has the shape of a scallop and points to one of the pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela , which leads through the municipality.

Chapel of Saint Laurent in Boucoue

The chapel, consecrated to Lawrence of Rome , was built in the 15th or 16th century on the site of an earlier church, from which it took over the very simple floor plan. It was restored in the 19th and 20th centuries. A simple bell gable with a small canopy protrudes from the building. The western entrance has a curved lintel with a keel arch . The floor in the single-nave nave and in the sacristy is covered with red terracotta tiles from the 18th century, in which motifs with animal figures are stamped, including a deer and a rooster framed by a crown of foliage , the whole thing embedded in a circle, the inside has a sawtooth-like ornament. The chapel also has three disc-shaped funerary steles, called Hilarri , which are believed to date from the 18th century. Like the floor tiles and a lecture cross from the 18th century, they are registered as national cultural assets.

Lassalle Castle in Boucoue

The L-shaped building dates from the 16th century. In the middle of the residential wing there is a stair tower with a twin window and an entrance with a lintel and posts from the time the palace was built. The other windows date from the 18th and 19th centuries. Another tower is built on the southwest side. The castle is privately owned.
