Lucgarier ( Occitan : Lucgarrièr ) is a French municipality with 1584 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Pau and is part of the canton of Vallées de l'Ousse et du Lagoin (until 2015: canton of Pontacq ).

Lucgarier is located about 21 kilometers east-southeast of Pau at the foot of the Pyrenees . Lucgarier is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Gomer in the north, Espoey in the north-east, Hours in the east and south-east, Bordères in the south and south-west, Lagos in the south-west and Beuste in the west and south-west.
