Mirepeix ( Occitan : Mirapeish ) is a French municipality with 1278 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Pau and the canton of Vallées de l'Ousse et du Lagoin (until 2015: canton of Nay-Est ). The inhabitants are called mirepeichois .

geography

Mirepeix is ​​located about 15 kilometers southeast of Pau on the Gave de Pau river , which flows on the western edge of the municipality.
