Arthez-d'Asson is a French commune 491 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the arrondissement of Pau and part of the canton of Ouzom, Gave et Rives du Neez .
geography
The municipality is located south of Nay in the valley of the Ouzom , a tributary of the Gave de Pau . Neighboring communities of Nay are Asson , from which it is largely enclosed, and Bruges-Capbis-Mifaget . The village is considered to be the beginning of the north ramp on the Col du Soulor , which is often used by the Tour de France .
