Bénéjacq is a French commune with 1,942 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Pau and the canton of Vallées de l'Ousse et du Lagoin (until 2015: canton of Nay-Est ). The inhabitants are called Bénéjacquois .

geography

Bénéjacq is located about 17 kilometers southeast of Pau on the Lagoin River , a tributary of the Gave de Pau . Bénéjacque is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bordères in the north, Hours in the northeast, Barzun in the east and northeast, Pontacq in the east, Labatmale in the southeast, Saint-Vincent and Coarraze in the south and Mirepeix in the west.
