Laà-Mondrans is a French municipality with 429 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Pau , to the canton of Le Cœur de Béarn (until 2015: canton of Lagor ) and to the community association Lacq-Orthez .
geography
The municipality is located in the historic province of Béarn , four kilometers south of Orthez and about 40 kilometers northwest of Pau in the foothills of the Pyrenees . The Laâ , a left tributary of the Gave de Pau, flows through the municipality in a south-north direction . Laà-Mondrans borders Orthez in the north, Biron in the northeast, Castetner in the southeast, Loubieng in the south and Ozenx-Montestrucq in the west. Laâ-Mondrans is on the trunk road from Orthez to Navarrenx (D 947, former N647 )
